The dates in the table are those when the forecasts were issued. STTA stands for short-term trend analysis. It provides insight into where the climate is heading in the nearest future (about 5-10 years from now). Unlike the seasonal forecasts, which have a substantial knowledge base, the STTA is tentative and should be treated with extra caution.
